Want to become a content creator but not sure what content you should be making? Here are the five main types of creators, so you can finally pick a path.
1. The Educator
If you love explaining things and making people smarter, this is for you. You don't need to be an expert. You just need to be a few steps ahead of your audience. Think of the creators who show you how to cook, fix a problem, or manage your money better. Your goal is simple: be useful.
2. The Scout
This is someone who loves finding hidden gems. You're the one who does the digging to highlight the best-kept secrets in travel, the best food spots, or the coolest gear nobody else knows about yet. Your goal is to save people time by being their guide.
3. The Behind-The-Scenes Creator
You're not teaching or performing. You're just showing your process. Think "Day in the Life" videos, or "Workout with Me" sessions where someone films their everyday routine. Your goal is to build a connection with your audience.
4. The Critic or Commentator
This one's for the opinionated ones who love diving deep into trends, news, and gossip. You take what's happening in the world and give your take on it. Your goal is to start a conversation and offer a perspective nobody else is talking about.
5. The Entertainer
This is for the storytellers and comedians who just want to give people a break from the rat race. Your value isn't in teaching a skill. It's in giving people a reason to laugh. Your goal is to take everyday frustrations and give your audience a much-needed break from the serious side of life.
So, which one of these sounds like your style?
"Don't try to be all five at once. Just pick the one that feels most like you, and start there."
Still confused? That sounds like a you problem.
